Students, please check:
1) The online calendar. It has been updated with the most recent information, including all updated football games, marching band performances and rehearsals.
2) The “Forms” section of the website. I have uploaded a downloadable football schedule as well as this year’s band manual and other important information.
Please use the website as it is a great resource for everything band related.
Due to the unpredictability of the incoming storm, I have decided to cancel Tuesday’s rehearsal. Better to keep all our members safe and near to family in case anything happens.
We have accomplished quite a lot this summer, and I am grateful to all of you who have made summer rehearsals, conditioning, and camps a top priority. Despite all of this, we are still behind.
When school starts, remember that marching band is a credit course, and you are expected to be at every rehearsal, just as you are expected to be in your other classes. We have a reputation to uphold. It is difficult to accomplish anything if we’re not all present 100% of the time.
Here is our regular rehearsal schedule starting next week:
Our marching camp is fast approaching! Make sure you come ready for some intense learning, as we have more than 17 clinicians coming in to help you. This will be one of our most productive camps ever!
Days/times are as follows:
Mon 7/15: 10am-5pm
Tue 7/16: 10am-5pm
Wed 7/17: 10am-8pm
Thu 7/18: 10am-8pm
Fri 7/19: 10am-5pm
Bring your own lunch every day. Note that on Wed and Thu, we end at 8pm. Dinner will be provided for you!
Make sure you have athletic shoes, water JUG, hat, sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothing (no jeans).
The following students need to report on Friday 7/5/13 at 1pm. Bring your under show shirt & shorts and your marching shoes.
…and the following students for Saturday 7/6/13 at 10am. Again, make sure you have your under show shirt and shorts and marching shoes.
We are still missing 23 trip deposits, and our next payment deadline is on July 15. Please, please communicate immediately with Mr. Wasano so that he can communicate on your behalf with Seawind Tours. It will be very difficult to make this trip happen with 23 of you not participating.
Registration dates and times have been posted on Maui High School’s website:
These dates are during our full band camp. You are obviously expected to attend registration and come straight back to our camp immediately after.
